How to publish your image with your posts.
Log in. You'll then be at the dashboard or the welcome page. The second link down takes you to your profile. Also there is a profile link right by the logout link at the upper right hand corner of the site. You can load a photo at your profile page (scroll down and you'll see where to browse and upload the photo from your computer). This photo will show with your every post.
How to post a column
Check the calendar to see when your column is due to be posted.
The website server is on Pacific time.
Columns should be posted at least the day before the date assigned and timestamped after midnight and before 4 a.m. (whatever time zone you're in is fine) on the day assigned.
An alternate column may be posted if your column is not up by 10 a.m. EST. We get the most traffic between 6 a.m. and 9 a.m. EST.
If you need to miss posting a column, let the admin know. Alternate columns can be posted with advance notice without a problem if you need to be away. If you miss posting and don't bother to notify us, you will be removed as a regular columnist.
1) Go here to sign in with your user name and password: http://blogginginblack.com/wp-login.php
2) Click the link titled WRITE, you should be taken to a place where you can write a POST.
3) Write your post.
4) Be SURE and check YOUR NAME under CATEGORIES (click the plus sign beside the title to drop the list if necessary) before you submit your post. Don't publish posts with uncategorized categories.
5) BE SURE and change the TIME STAMP (click the plus sign beside the title to drop the list if necessary) and change the time to after midnight and the date you post.
6) Click publish.
7) You can edit your post anytime. Go to MANAGE then POSTS. You can also manage comments on your post--> MANAGE then COMMENTS, BUT comments should never be deleted unless spam. Edit the comment and label it spam and it will automatically deleted. You can respond freely to any comment you disagree with. Please contact the admin about how to handle abusive or disrespectful comments if you have concerns.
Missing your posts
It's professional and preferable to let the admin know beforehand if you need to miss a post date.
If you accidentally miss a post date, let the admin know as soon as possible afterward. If you don't notify BIB, you will be replaced as a columnist within a short time of missing a post. If you miss a date and are replaced, but return later, your assigned date will likely be shifted.
